"Therefore go and make disciples of all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
It is our prayer to reach the lost around us through such things as Journey Groups, Thursday School, Divorce Care, Financial Peace, Adult Bible Classes, Fall Festival...and the list goes on and on.
After several months of prayer and planning, the leadership has recently unveiled a vision for the year. The following mission statement, along with objectives and goals for reaching our community for Christ, is fueling our intention of being a light to the world.
We are MCOC
Making Disciples
Cultivating Unity
Offering Hope
Celebrating Jesus
We are imperfect people, serving a perfect God and sharing His perfecting love with all
Making Disciples means that we are actively engaged in helping each person take their next step in their personal journey with Jesus - be it their first step or their thousandth.
Cultivating Unity addresses the desire we have to see MCOC as a place where all are loved, accepted, and treasured in a peaceful and warm family setting.
Offering Hope comes in the form of sharing the promises God has made that provide strength and courage for the challenges that life will inevitably bring.
Celebrating Jesus is our constant refrain - how can we help but celebrate the One that has made all things possible for us?!
We have no misconceptions about our own imperfection. But, we are crystal clear on all that God is and does. We simply want to share with all the love He so richly has poured out on us.
It is our prayer to reach the lost around us through such things as Journey Groups, Thursday School, Divorce Care, Financial Peace, Adult Bible Classes, Fall Festival...and the list goes on and on.
