SERVICE
"..serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' " Galatians. 5:13

Using our time, talents, and spiritual gifts to make a difference. Imagine what our families, church, and community would be like if we all took the time to do what God uniquely designed each of us to do in serving others. Whether you have lots of time to volunteer each week or only a few hours every once in a while, consider making the kind of impact that only you, through God's help, can make.

Where do I start?

As our guest, you are welcome to participate or simply observe if that is your choice.  You are welcome to participate in any non-leadership activities, including service activities, Bible studies, fellowship activities, and discussion groups.

Should you decide to place membership at Marysville Church of Christ, you would meet with one or more of our Elders.  This allows them to learn a little about your desire to become a part of our church family and answer any questions you may have regarding membership.   The New Testament church clearly expected every believer to be committed to his or her local fellowship.  Christians are expected to:

- Be a regular participant in our worship services (Hebrews 10:25)

- Be plugged into  Bible class and other opportunities for teaching, contact, fellowship, friendship, and intimacy        (2 Timoty 3:16-17).

- Be involved in a ministry or a service (Ephesians 2:10)

As a new member you will be given a "Member Involvement form".  This form list ways that you can serve our church family or community.  You will be able to choose areas to serve that you are passionate about or areas you feel God has gifted you with talents.  There may be a service area that you would like to be trained or get more information about.

We want to assist you in getting to know us as well as the workings of the Marysville Church of Christ congregation, giving you opportunities to explore using your time, talents, and treasures for the glory of God.
