MISSIONS

Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the good news." Mark 16:15

Marysville's goal is to respond to the Lord's commission. Marysville's leadership and congregation support a strong evangelistic and missionary effort locally, nationally and internationally. In fact, each year in the spring our congregation has it's annual Mission Sunday. On that day, we have some of our missionaries come in and we make our mission efforts the focus of our worship time. We also take a offering that day where all of the money collected goes only to our mission efforts.

Marysville church primarily focuses its non-local missions to:

UNITED STATES

Roots Missions
The Navajo Nation of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado is a fertile mission field for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A handful of preachers serve a dozen churches scattered over hundreds of square miles in some of the most beautiful, but deeply impoverished places in the United States. Roots Missions is an organization of missionaries, ministers, college professors, lay leaders, and devoted volunteers that work tirelessly to serve these missionary families, the congregations they lead, and the Christians of "the Rez" (Reservation). To fulfill this mission, the organization provides training for preachers, organizes short and long term mission efforts, raises funds for continuing support, helps with facilities and repairs, presents conferences, advocates in support of needs, and brings much needed medical/counseling help to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

ASIA

India
We have supported India mission work for many years now. The India Mission Evangelist is Harry Summers and his efforts are overseen by the White Hall Church of Christ in Fairmont West Virginia. Harry makes an annual, month-long trip typically in February for evangelistic purposes as well as to encourage and build up the churches and native missionaries that we support there. In addition to the many churches and missionaries we support there, we also support an orphanage and a church that meets in a leper colony. Hundreds of souls have been saved through this work.

AFRICA

Ghana
Paul and Pam Reynolds have traveled many times to Ghana to work with The Village of Hope near Accra, Ghana. There they have taught the Bible to hundreds of hungry souls.
