Fall Quarter Adult Bible Classes  - September 6 - November 1:

Sunday Mornings -   Distraction taught by Jason Saiter - We live in a world that is more full of distractions than any other point in human history. It is a problem that affects every generation with more options added everyday. There are entire industries that are based on capturing and monetizing our attention. Distraction has a huge costs, to  our engagement with God, causing a need for continuous re-centering. The biggest cost the the abundant life, one of the reasons Christ said he came. We are constantly warned through God’s word that things of the fallen world can hold a dangerous sway over our spiritual relationship with God.  Join us this quarter and we will study distraction and its spiritual cost. .

Wednesday Evenings - Woven taught by Bishop Darby - In this class series, we will be exploring the history of the church and the threads that make up the tapestry of the modern 21st Century Church of Christ. Along the way, we will be learning about the people, movements, and places that made us who we are today. From the history of the early church, how we decided on what books made it into the Bible, the Reformation, and the Restoration, we will deep dive into our past to prepare us for our future.   Sitting with Clement and Paul in a jail cell, eavesdropping on lectures by Aquinas at the University of Paris, and being rudely awakened by the hammering on Wittenberg church, the story of faith is long and winding. We are a part of the story, and yet often we fail to learn from the past. By connecting with our larger history, we can hope to accomplish what God designs for his Kingdom on earth: now and forever.
